As a concerned father, former deputy, emergency manager, and wildland firefighter, I’m running to bring honest, independent leadership that puts Curry County families first.
As a former Curry County Deputy, Emergency Manager, and wildland firefighter, I’ve spent my career on the front lines protecting our community.
I’m running for County Commissioner because our families deserve better than government that makes decisions behind closed doors. For too long, important choices have been settled before public meetings even begin, leaving citizens feeling unheard and disconnected from their own county government.
Outside of my professional service, I’ve spent the past five years as President of Gold Beach Little League and as an OSAA sports official — working directly with our kids and neighbors to build stronger communities.
I’m not a career politician. I’m a concerned citizen and father who believes we can do better — with transparent, accountable leadership that focuses on real solutions for all of Curry County.
My priorities are:
These priorities are not slogans. They reflect what I’ve lived and what I will fight for on the Board of Commissioners — practical leadership that serves every resident, regardless of party.

Right now, the Board of Commissioners operates with a single voice and very little public discussion.
Decisions that affect all of us — our budgets, public safety, and future development — too often appear to be made before citizens even have a chance to speak.
The results are real: strained county resources, working families feeling the pressure, and policies that haven’t fully supported the industries that built our county.
As your commissioner, I will insist on open, transparent government. I will ask the tough questions, listen to all perspectives, and work for solutions that put constituents ahead of insiders. This isn’t about politics — it’s about restoring trust and accountability in Curry County.

Throughout the forum, Jeremy Dumire speaks to the importance of steady leadership, accountability, and a commitment to serving the whole community. You will also hear candid perspectives on how the current board functions today from his opponent— offering important context about how decisions are currently being made at the county level
Last year, I stood before the Board of Commissioners during the appointment process for this same position. There were no yard signs, no headlines, and no momentum. Just a belief that Curry County deserved steady leadership, accountability, and a renewed focus on Curry County public safety. I meant every word then, and I mean them even more now. This clip is from that meeting — long before the Jeremy Dumire campaign officially began. My priorities have not changed. My commitment has not changed.
